To celebrate Tolkien Reading day we have created 3 inspired cocktails form this universe. March 25 is the day we celebrate Sauron’s defeat in the Lord of the rings trilogy.
One of my favourite books and movies are in the form of this trilogy. I wanted to create something special to celebrate them so let’s get to it.

The Shire
Ingredients
- 50 ml/ 2 oz white rum
- 50 ml/ 2oz melon liqueur
- 25 ml/ 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 50 ml/ 2 oz green mint tea
- Ice: cubes and crushed
- Garnish: mint leaves

- Cocktail strainer
- Shaker

The how to
In your shaker add the tea(brew it as you like), rum, melon liqueur, lime juice and ice cubes. Shake well. Double strain in your glass over crushed ice and garnish with mint leaves.
Riveldell
Ingredients
- 50 ml/ 2 oz vanilla vodka
- 2 cardamom seeds
- 25 ml/ 1 oz white chocolate liqueur
- 25 ml/ 1 oz heavy cream
- 15 ml/ 0.5 oz cinnamon syrup
- Ice: cubes & crushed
- Garnish: cinnamon

The how to
In your shaker add the cardamom seeds and press the with your muddler. Add your vodka and white chocolate liqueur. Add ice cubes and shake well. Double strain the mix in your glass over the the crushed ice. Rinse you shaker and add 3 ice cubes, the heavy cream and cinnamon syrup. Shake well and double strain it in your glass. Garnish with a pinch a cinnamon.
Mordor
Ingredients
- 50 ml/ 2 oz Absolut Kurant Vodka
- 50 ml/ 2 oz crème de cassis
- 25 ml/ 2 oz lime juice
- 25 ml/ 1 oz water
- 5 fresh blueberries
- 5 fresh blackberries
- Ice
- Garnish: dry orange wheel

The how to
In your the shaker add the ice, vodka, creme de cassis, water, lime juice, blueberries and blackberries. Shake well. Double strain the mix in your glass over ice. Garnish with the orange wheel9make it look like an eye).
