Hogwarts Houses Inspired Cocktails

We love magic around here. Magic is inspiring and the land of mystery and magic born tasty recipes. 

If you are over 18 and still into the Harry Potter universe we got this for you. After 3 drinks you will feel like you are in another universe.

Let’s get to it! 


Gryffindor 

Ingredients 

  • 50 ml whiskey 
  • 25 ml Campari 
  • 2 dashes orange bitters 
  • 50 ml red orange juice
  • Ice: cubes and big rock for serving
  • Garnish: sugar syrup, chilli flakes, dry orange wheel

Tools 

  • Shaker  
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Tea strainer 
  • Rocks glass


The how to 

First we prepare the glass. Add the sugar syrup to the rim to make it sticky. Go with the rim through the chilli flakes. We want it spicy. 

In your shaker add the whiskey, Campari, orange bitters, red orange juice and ice. Shake well. Double strain in your glass over the big ice cube. Add the dry orange wheel on top of the ice.


Hufflepuff 

Ingredients 

  • 50 ml rum
  • 30 ml pineapple juice
  • 30 ml mango juice
  • 10 ml lime juice
  • 10 ml grenadine syrup
  • Ice
  • Garnish: lemon wheel, pineapple triangle

Tools 

  • Shaker
  • Cocktail strainer
  • Tea strainer 
  • Collins glass


The how to 

In your shaker add the rum, pineapple juice, mango juice and lime juice. Add ice and shake well. Double strain it in your glass over ice. Add the grenadine syrup to the glass, do not stir. Garnish with the lemon wheel and pineapple triangle as your imagination dictates.


Slytherin

Ingredients 

  • 25 ml vodka
  • 30 ml absinthe 
  • 7- 8 mint leaves 
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 70 ml green apple juice 
  • Ice
  • Garnish: mint leaves, thin apple slice 

Tools 

  • Shaker 
  • Cocktails glass
  • Tea strainer 
  • Collins glass

The how to 

In your shaker add the vodka, green apple juice, mint leaves, lime juice and ice. Shake well and double strain in your glass over ice. Add the absinthe in your glass. Add the mint leaves and the apple slices to your glass as garnish. 


Ravenclaw 

Ingredients 

  • 50 ml Empress gin
  • 25 ml blue curacao
  • 25 ml lime juice
  • 15 ml Sprite 
  • Ice: cubes and crushed 
  • Garnish: 3- 4 blueberries, mint leaves

Tools 

  • Shaker 
  • Cocktails glass
  • Tea strainer 
  • Rocks glass

The how to 

In your shaker add the gin, blue curacao and lime juice. Add ice and shake well. Double strain it in your glass over the crushed ice. Add the sprite on top of the glass. Sprinkle the blueberries and the mint leaves as garnish.
